iPhone 4 sales hit heights

1.7 million iPhone 4 sold (as at 3rd week in July 2010)

Apple are congratulating themselves on what they are calling their most successful launch and claim they could have sold more iPhone 4 deals had stock been available. 1.7 million in a matter of days is nothing short of a miracle given the state of the economy but it just goes to show the power of the Apple marketing machine. Even the 3G and 3GS only sold 1 million in the days after release.

Perhaps, given those volumes, the teething problems that some users have experienced were inevitable. Were similar problems encountered with the 3G or 3Gs or even the iPad though? Not that we can recall, so is the iPhone 4 release really a total success if you move away from the numbers? On balance, the answer has to be yes, the iPhone 4 is one heck of a bit of kit.

The demand for the iPhone is going to increase as app developers are becoming more customer focused and providing apps for every niche of the market; therefore, the iPhone success juggernaught does not look to be slowing down.

iPhone deals are presently available in the UK with Vodafone (Vodafone iPhone), Orange (Orange iPhone) and O2 (O2 iPhone)…all of these deals are available with the Carphone Warehouse and other suppliers.
